HII-Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) is currently seeking candidates for a SOF Sensitive Activities Planner.
DESCRIPTION OF REQUIRING ORGANIZATION
J51 Campaign Planning Teams serve as the center of expertise for each of the strategic threats identified in the National Defense Strategy. J52 integrates plans through the development of the Commander’s Strategic Guidance; Campaign Plan for Global Special Operations; Return on Investment Analysis; and the Innovation, Development, and Discovery Process. J5X conducts sensitive activities planning in support of global requirements. Divisions are tasked to produce strategic-level, systematic analysis that enables efficient, globally synchronized application of Special Operations Forces (SOF).
TASK PURPOSE
Provide analysis and executive-level strategy products for each of the strategic threats identified in the National Defense Strategy—Russia, China, Iran, North Korea (DPRK), and Violent Extremist Organizations (VEOs)—to enable efficient and globally integrated application of SOF. Products include SOF-specific campaign strategies and plans to supplement Global Campaign Plans, support global integration, provide globally-oriented strategic analysis, orient USSOCOM resourcing and force allocation processes, and deliver systems expertise and advice to USSOCOM leadership.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Provide relevant, on-site SOF regional SME support to facilitate, coordinate, and engage in all tasks related to complex global security issues and transnational threats.
Brief, update, and participate in required meetings, engagements, and coordination efforts that enable production of deliverables.
Ensure that all products demonstrate a deep understanding of foreign policy, foreign policy theory, the mechanisms to implement policy, international transregional threat systems, SOF doctrine, and SOF employment planning, and be able to produce related advanced academic degree-quality research and documents.
Ensure that all deliverables demonstrate strong writing skills, experience, and an understanding of geopolitical systems, threats, interests, and transregional opportunities.
Provide input and information to 4-star level, or equivalent, briefings and speeches.
Perform SOF sensitive activities planning, designing, producing, maintenance, and delivery of integrated executive-level strategies, reports, visual aids, talking-point papers, briefings, and responses to RFIs to support USSOCOM J5X.
Provide sufficient SOF Regional SME support toward development of the USSOCOM Sensitive Activities Annex to the Commander’s Strategic Guidance, the Sensitive Activities Annex to CP-GSO, the Sensitive Activities Future Operating Concept, and associated plans, which provide authoritative guidance and direction from the command to USSOCOM staff, components, and Theater Special Operations Command (TSOCs) to guide the employment, development, and design of sensitive activities from now to 15 years in the future.
Minimum Qualifications
6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
5 years’ operational experience at Joint Command engaged in sensitive activities
2 years’ experience drafting written or oral presentation for GO/FO/SES audience
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
