Job Description
Provides organizational consulting as well as plans, develops, implements and evaluates effective people and training strategies, processes, programs and tools to ensure that Aetna has the talent it needs to perform for today and prepare for tomorrow.
Creates implements and evaluates training tools and programs to support the development of the skills and competencies DSNP employees require to effectively achieve Aetna’s business goals.
Fundamental Components
Uses a variety of educational media to design and develop state-of-the-art training tools and programs for designated Aetna audiences? assesses and reports on the effectiveness and ROI of training programs
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to successfully influence others and hold themselves accountable for delivering results.
The selected candidate must be enthusiastic, highly motivated, and willing to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business. He/she needs to demonstrate the ability to multi-task, working independently and as a member of the clinical education team to manage competing priorities as they deliver quality work under tight deadlines.
Partners with the DSNP Learning Consultant as well as the DSNP Quality and Leadership Team to develop complex, specialized learning strategies to improve organizational performance.
Conducts performance analysis to determine the expectations and gaps for the intended audiences.
Uses formal instructional design methodology to design and develop performance-based training and educational tools.
Develops and conducts follow-up assessments to determine the effectiveness and ROI of training programs.
Simultaneously participates on and/or leads multiple project teams.
Works in partnership as appropriate with external vendors to deliver state- of-the-art, technology-based training tools and programs that meet the needs of multiple, diverse audiences and integrate effectively into Aetna's architecture.
Communicates regularly with DSNP Clinical Education Team to manage the rollout of training materials and gather feedback on program effectiveness.Incorporates feedback gathered from participants and other relevant audiences to improve training, processes and products.
Effectively manages curriculum, reporting and other relevant administrative requirements through the Aetna Learning Center.
Background Experience
3-5+ years managed care/health insurance industry experience.
Strong business background. Experience in application of performance- based instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, performance consulting and educational media desired.
Education in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles and/or performance consulting.
Bachelor's degree.
