SMC Finance and Learning Finance manages $30B+ in Commercial and Learning revenue while managing a full P&L and operations across 8 Sales Centers supporting customers from Corporate to Small businesses. The Demand Response & Customer Success Organization operates within SMC and is primarily focused on Customer Acquisition, primarily in SMB (Small & Medium Businesses). During its first 5 years, the organization has tripled in size and has continued to attract investment to build out an innovative, dynamic, marketing-informed digital sales model across Microsoft focused on Azure, Modern Workplace, and Business Applications cloud products. The Finance Manager focuses on three important pillars around investments:
Evolving standardized approaches on target setting across related businesses and assessing ROI with financial data.
Supporting business partners with financial needs such as blueprinting, Opex management, financial analysis orchestration.
Look for productivity and analytics to existing motions and programs to make quick decision to refine, continue, or eliminate.
Responsibilities
Build business targets to align investments to outcomes.
Partner closely with Sales Excellence to drive rhythm of business to ensure healthy performance against KPIs and action plans where needed.
Drive automation in manual business practices wherever possible, including target setting, target distribution, revenue validation, etc., such as through the use of machine learning.
Accountable for data driven decision making with a ROI culture and discipline.
Deliver focused insights to drive efficiencies on the use of Opex (Headcount, external resources, marketing).
Share learnings of prior analysis while also maintaining a history to assess progress.
Partner with planning and analytics teams to drive standardize approach.
Share best practices with global sales leaders, regional controllers, and finance partners to make better decision making on both WCB and GSMO investments and resources.
Identify investments & disinvestment opportunities.
Focused areas will be target setting and monitoring for organization of 350+ sellers, Opex management, business execution, and monitoring success metrics on decisions and investments.

Actively contribute and build strong collaboration within diverse and virtual teams with Sales Excellence, EG Finance, CSEO, and WCB business partners.
Leverage technology and others to be more efficient to deliver insights and recommendations to our customers and business partners.

Qualifications
5+ years of active experience in similar role.
Experience in Multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles is recommended.
Strong understanding of financial modeling and statistics.
BA/BS or MBA degree in Finance, Economics, CPA preferred.
